Nunavut - home of Tanya Gillis and Celina Kalluk

Nunavut is the largest and newest of the territories of Canada, created on April 1, 1999. It has a population of approximately 30,000. The vast majority are Inuit people.

Resolute, Celina’s home town, is the second-most northerly town in Canada, with an average yearly temperature of -16.4°C, and a tiny population of 215.

Cambridge Bay, Tanya's home town, is a larger regional centre, with a population of about 1,500. Tanya now lives in Spain.

Iqaluit, where Celina now lives, is the capital of Nunavut.
